No photos to prove it, and there wasn't much to prove, but on the weekend I found myself in Lake Louise, with a VIP pass to the downhill (thankfully it doubled as a lift ticket) and a free night in the ultra pimp Chateau Lake Louise. Spent most the time riding with the wife on the single open run on the front side. Man made snow everywhere except where there was no snow, that was the real stuff. Connor made the trip out and we made a few laps on the front before deciding to venture onto the backside. All natural snow with ample natural hazards (rocks). Luckily we both had rock boards there (everyone buys brand new boards to use on rock days right?) There was some good turns to be had and the price of admission (scratches on brand new bases) was worth it.
I'm stoked on this season. Lots of people joining team split board. Looks like there should be another sled or two in the mix as well. With the running this summer, I'm in the best shape of my life and ready to cross some goals off the list!
